Malling ™ Champion* is the new everbearer of NIAB EMR. The strawberries have a uniform conical shape and a beautiful shine. The plant has a compact growth and the picking speed for this variety is high. The fruit is firm, making it suitable for multiple trade channels. The taste is quite neutral. The variety is not very susceptible to phytophtora cactorum, verticillium and is more susceptible to mildew.
